Korean Society of Sport Biomechanics(KSSB) warmly invites you to the 26th International Conference on Biomechanics in Sports in Seoul, Korea.

ISBS 2008 will be held from July 14(Monday) to July 18(Friday), 2008 at Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea.

Korea is the heart of Asia, between Japan on the one side and China and Russia on the other. Seoul is the largest city with a population of about 12 million and capital of Korea for over 600 years. As a result, Seoul has several beautiful ancient palaces and many royal tombs, besides has numerous other attractions, i.e. art museums, galleries, shopping malls, traditional villages, traditional markets, etc. Seoul also had hosted 1988 Olympic game, 2002 World cup soccer game, and numerous international sports events. Seoul National University, one of best Universities not only in Korea, which hosted table tennis in 1988 Seoul Olympic game and numerous international scientific conferences, guaranteed to provide meeting facilities and accommodation.


ISBS 2008 is a great event, and I hope not only that sports biomechanics researchers and students from all parts of the world will attend the Conference, but also that many others will take advantage of this occasion for thinking the theme "Biomechanics for performance enhancement" in relation to elite & leisure sports, special population, injury & rehabilitation, neuromuscular biomechanics, methodology and sport equipment in our time.

With academic activity, the conference will create an attractive atmosphere that encourages more sports scientists, coaches and athletes to discuss about important matters. You are all invited to participate in this grand occasion for the sharing of ideas, friendship, communication and culture in the hospitality that Korea has to offer.

I thank all those who during the period of preparation have worked for the success of our Conference. It has been hard work for many of them. By your attendance you can complete their efforts, so that after this event sports biomechanics will have a stronger impact on the global scene than ever before.
